Whilst
touring in Montréal, Canada as a violinist and vocalist with
glam-rock group Los Guidounos, William co-wrote a documentary
film soundtrack “Spleen Caviar” and cut the group's
first album “En attendant l'émeute”. He has since
made numerous recordings as a violinist and vocalist, most
notably, under the pseudonyms Guillaume Leloup and Frederic
Lombard, ripping off the likes of Serge Gainsbourg and Charles
Trenet in “I Love Paris” for Union Square
Productions, available in all good record stores!
William returned to England in 1998
performing in The City Of Angels at the Landor
Theatre, London , and quickly assumed the role of Jewish music
student Schlomo Metzenbaum in the musical Fame for
the Sweden and Norway arena tours. After a year's UK No.1 tour
with Fame , and two years in the West End (Victoria
Palace, The Cambridge, The Aldwich) William continued to
combine acting with fiddle playing, performing in the European

Newcastle, as Sister Josephine in the World Première of the
Jake Thakray musical Sister Josephine Kicks The Habit
(UK tour), as Captain Tempest in Return To The

Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol at The Derby
Playhouse.
William returned to the West End in 2011 with
the highly acclaimed, Ned Sherrin Award-nominated 'Woody Sez';
playing Woody Guthrie (and 9 instruments!).
